“Hope” is a poem from the poetry book “She”. This poem was rewritten to represent a great deal of what I’ve been feeling as of late with where life is bringing me. It is a nice hopeful song for the truth that is in myself.

HOPE

In calmness, I walk steadily through life
Waiting for the moment you’re my wife
And in my stillness, I stand and hope
With your hand only a touch away I know

Your eyes deep in my gaze
Standing there ever in praise
Not a kiss, nor a word…
But a memory of night’s turn

I look to you and cry with romance
And hope as that is all I can bare
Is it the sky that parted the clouds
To give us a night clear of pain and proud

Was it your eyes that opened your heart
Showed me the way as I paced from the start
And with the kiss, I dreamt of every night
Gave into your might without a single fight

So in calmness, I stand in life’s wait
for the moment you’ll open my soul
And in my stillness, I’ll stand and hope
You’ll never give up on me as we get old
